Karen Thurman has been quietly creating unique felts and sweaters seemingly all her life. An avid knitter after being taught by a neighbor as a teenager, she studied textile design on both coasts before settling back in her native Oregon. Drawing inspiration from old movies, early morning coffee, and her love of nature, Karen’s unique style plays on the inherent qualities of the natural materials she uses.

She currently lives in Portland, Oregon, with her cat Jill and and her architect husband.
